To buy or Rent a Tux for Prom??

Tags :

To buy or rent a tux for Prom? Stop!! This one is real simple, unless you have stopped growing or your 23 years old you need to RENT. Rose Tuxedo has been in the Tuxedo rental business for over 30 years one thing we have learned even for grown adults is, once you buy the tuxedo or suit it never fits again. You either gain weight or you lose weight or the tuxedo style suit you purchased  has changed.

So this is a common thing that happens every Prom season. Men’s Wear house has the big bucks to advertise and the students end up in one of their big box locations. Usually looking to rent a tuxedo. And usually because they got a $40 off tux rental coupon, what a scam. The rental is usually still over $200 even with the discount, don’t ask me how but they do it we hear it all the time.

So now your thinking we can go buy a tuxedo or suit for the same price as Men’s Wear house tux rental prices, maybe true but not a quality outfit, usually polyester garbage. I know your thinking, well it’s only for one night and maybe I can use it for a college event someday. Maybe you can but it still may not fit and I promise you others will know it’s not a quality suit. Maybe you also wondering why are Men’s Wear house prom tuxedo rentals so much? Well, it’s not because of their quality tuxedos it’s because of their OVERHEAD. It’s real simple, you pay more rent with your locations and size and you have to charge more. Have you ever seen a small Men’s Wear house location, no. Minimum rent for their spaces is $10,000 I’ve been told by management.

So don’t go out and buy a cheap polyester Prom Suit just because Men’s Wear houses tux rental prices have scared you. Prom doesn’t have to be expensive you just need to use a small local tuxedo shop that has the latest styles and hottest designer tuxedo suits. Most of the small Tuxedo specialist buy all the new styles every year and we know what’s hot. We vote on styles at the tuxedo convention and we talk to each other and we listen to you the customers and we make the best buys that saves you money. You can usually rent a tuxedo 3 times for the cost of a decent one to buy. It’s worth it and it won’t collect dust in your closet and not fit you next time, not to mention it maybe out dated when you wear it again and have holes in it from storage. let’s us to the work, cleaning and more. Thanks and have a safe prom to all. $79.95 Prom Special for a fitted tuxedo at Rose Tuxedo. Call us anytime 480 831-5255 www.rosetuxedo.com

Mens Holiday Attire

Mens Holiday Attire

If any time of the year is the time when people love to dress up and get fancy, it’s the holiday season. Velvets, brocades, crisp lines, pressed pants, and shiny patent leathers all bring to mind the holidays. There are fancy parties and soirees to attend, sit down dinners, and not to mention those holiday pictures that go down in history and stay in photo books until the end of time. christmasattire

One of the most traditional and dapper ways to dress up at a holiday party or for holiday pictures is in a dressy tuxedo suit. Nothing quite exudes class and elegance more than a classic tuxedo. Now, a lot of men don’t just have a tuxedo laying in their closet waiting for the right occasion. Also, a lot of men gain and lose weight, making it hard to fit into their old tuxedo with such precision. Some tuxedo’s also do not have the most fashionable touch of the moment and get go out of fashion or style. holidaysuit

The best way to have a sharp, on point, excellent fit in a tuxedo is to rent one just in time for the holidays. Rose Tuxedo in Pheonix AZ has been renting tuxedos in the area for over 30 years, and they have everything a tuxedo collection should have. They know fit, style, quality, and would be happy to help outfit you for your next occasion that requires fancy dress and a dapper look. holiday attire

Some holiday events are more casual like shopping for Christmas trees, a cocktail party with friends, a work party holiday lunch. On these occasions it can be fine to wear some nice fitting slacks and a sweater in cream, black, red, deep green or blue, and possibly in a cashmere for a touch of elegance. A proper suede or leather shoe with nice buckles also completes the cook for a casual holiday look. Smooth outerwear also helps like a long cashmere trench or a wool cashmere blend pea coat. A matching hat adds a little bit extra to the look. But with all the space these essential holiday style garments take up in the closet, who has room to keep a tuxedo? Not me. And don’t rent a tuxedo online because that will surely add stress to your Holidays. holiday party attire

To make room for the tuxedo, simply rent it for the day or season, and return it. For those dressy Christmas pictures with the family, important corporate parties and Christmas dinners, the same tuxedo can do the job for all known purposes. The tuxedo can be rented out for just one day of course, but also for the season if it needs to be worn for several different occasions. Next year, weight changes, or a man gains more muscle in his arms, he can rent a different tuxedo in a different color and wear it for the pictures for next year’s holiday card. Now it is possible you could also wear a Tuxedo for New Years Eve so that would give you two times formal wear in one month. santa travels

Once the tuxedo is returned, it doesn’t take up any more room in the closet, so there is room for all those extra holiday sweaters he receives as holiday gifts. At Rose Tuxedos we keep your measurements on file so you can call us and will have your suit or tuxedo rental waiting for you when you come in. And if your measurements have changed we have a tailor at each of our Rose Tuxedo shops to make changes while you wait. Happy Holiday season to all and don’t stress over your Men’s Holiday Attire because it’s real easy stuff. Always discount tuxedo rentals for Senior Citizen tux’s and Military Tuxedo discount. Will even pick up your tuxedo after the weekend, just let us know. 602 957-0089 www.rosetuxedoaz.com

Tuxedo rentals from Catalogs

Tags :

Tuxedo rentals from Catalogs, things you should know.

So it’s time to rent a tuxedo or suit for a wedding, prom or some special event, you’ve done your research online or you know a local tuxedo rental shop your going to check out. When you get there you see some very nice designer tuxedos and suits on display but you don’t see the one you might be looking for. You ask the tuxedo specialist your working with if they have any more tuxedos to choose from or know of the one you want, here comes the Tuxedo Catalog with all the designer names, Ike Evening by Ike Behar, Jean Yves tuxedos, Ralph Lauren tuxs, Michael Kors Men’s formal Wear for rental, Joseph Abboud black tuxedo, After Six, Perry Ellis suits and Calvin Klein tuxedos

Why do some tuxedo and bridal shops use Tuxedo Catalogs?

Because it’s very hard to carry all of the latest style of designer tuxedos and suits rentals in stock. Most Tux specialist attend the IFA show (International Formal Wear Association) or meet with Formal Wear Sales person who comes through town and shows you all the latest tuxedos to choose from and purchase for the following year. This is when it gets hard for the Tuxedo shop owner, what styles and colors should they buy, what’s going to be popular, and what will customers be coming in and asking for. It’s never easy and unfortunately we can’t buy everything.

But the Tuxedo wholesaler buys almost every new style that comes out because they want to service every little Tuxedo operator across the USA. One and two store tuxedo shops use the Formal Wear wholesalers Catalog to offer their customers a wide range of Tuxedos and suits to choose from that they didn’t buy, but all this service comes with a nice price tag. paulmurrell

So you like a designer tuxedo rental from a Catalog

Jim’s Formal Wear or Paul Morrell catalog tuxedo rentals may have what your looking for, now what? The Tuxedo specialist will quote you a rental price from the catalog which is usually higher than any tuxedo or suit rental that they carry in stock, why? Because if you own something you can rent in or sell it much cheaper than if you have to pay a middle man (Tuxedo Wholesaler) for their product. A typical fee for the Tuxedo specialist to sub-rent a tuxedo from a catalog is $85 and that is usually does not included shoes (shoes weigh the shipping box down a lot, and the price goes up). Paying the sub rental price and shipping fees the local Tuxedo specialist has to make some money and will charge you a lot more. Every tuxedo shop varies their catalog tuxedo rental price depending on their over head and more. I’ve seen some tux shops charge from $125 to $250 for the same tuxedo rental out of the book. These are the same Tux Catalogs that every tux shop account owner gets.jimsformalwear

Some of the issues that a customer should be a ware

The big question when ordering a sub rental tuxedo from a Tux shops catalog is “how soon will the tuxedo arrive before the day of use”. The answer is usually 2 days before the event, one day before is also very common and the reason is, the Wholesaler does not ship out the suit rental or tux until the Monday before the weekend because they were possibly suing it the weekend before yours (most tux rental outfits are worn on the weekends) so even though you may order it one month before it still won’t not arrive until 2 days before you need it, scary right? Yes. Why? what if you were not measured correctly and something doesn’t fit? or what if the shipping box doesn’t arrive or gets lost? These are not fun things to think about before a big formal event. Formal Knight is a men’s formal wear wholesaler and they ship from California and that helps us at Rose Tuxedo get faster service in AZ. Rose Tuxedo has been in the men’s formal wear business since 1980 and is also a Premier account with all it’s Tux and suit Wholesale companies so we get special tux pricing and vip shipping, that helps our customers get their outfits faster and we can pass the rental savings on to you. formal-knight-tuxedos-logo

In my humbler opinion after 30 years in the Men’s formal Wear industry,

always try to find something a local Tuxedo shop has in stock. Most owners have bought some of the latest designer tuxedos and suit rentals available and you can usually get a better tuxedo rental price when it’s a suit or tux they own and carry in stock, plus same day rentals and easy tuxedo measurement corrections. But if you don’t see what your looking for then go for the catalog tuxedo rental and most of the time everything usually works out fine.

For those who don’t know

Men’s Wearhouse doesn’t own any of their Tuxedo or Suit rentals in stock, you heard that right. They have New tuxedo and suits you can buy on the racks but no rentals in the back room or racks, just ask them. Men’s Wear house gets all their tuxedo and suit rentals from their Tuxedo plant out of state. They have one or two big Men’s Wearhouse big plant’s that puts all the tux and suit rentals together and then ship them to their Men’s Wearhouse location’s across the United States, this is more scary than getting a tuxedo rental from a catalog.menswearhouse4

One of the other nice benefits of renting tux’s local

The money you spend in State stays in the economy, and most of the time you can pick up your tux outfit a day early if you ask or return it a day late, because it doesn’t need to be shipped back to anyone. I hope this helps you in your men’s formal wear renting process and if anything it should give you some idea on how the process is all done, and ease your mind on dressing up on some of the most important day and times of your life. Happy Holidays to all and Rose Tuxedo has 3 tuxedo shops in Arizona ready to help you for any Men’s formal wear need. You can also live chat me 7 days a week and ask a question or get a tuxedo rental quote. www.rosetuxedoaz.com tuxedo rentals

How to smoothly mix Bridal colors and Groomsmen tuxedo

A lot of people don’t know this. But you are about to know it. Bridal colors influence the choice of groomsmen tuxedo a great deal. You don’t just dress the groomsmen and bridesmaids like they are opposing teams on a football pitch. There has to be that unity yet distinction between them. And this has to be done with the best combination of colors. This will go a long way to contributing to a colorful wedding ceremony for posterity to learn from.

Groomsmen Tuxedo

As the groom, you just have to get the tuxedo, right? Think again! You’ll also need to match the bridal colors. While you might think pink is pink, getting the right shade is very important to the look of your wedding.

Matching the vest and tie to the bridal colors has long been a challenge in the tuxedo rental business. There are many different shades of any color the bride will have chosen for her bridesmaids, and we need to do all we can to get an exact match for you and the groomsmen tuxedo.

Of course, many grooms do opt for a traditional black, white, or silver vest. Much like the white gown allows the bride to stand out from the rest of her party; this allows the groom to be the center of attention.

When you come to find the perfect tuxedos or suits for your wedding, working with an excellent supplier can make things much easier for you. We do everything we can to help you find the exact shade of color you need, whether it’s a dusty rose, a sunset yellow, or a deep emerald.  Rose Tuxedo has one of the largest selection of wedding vest and ties and bows in-stock. We have been suiting the Valley of Phoenix for over 25 years and we go to the Men’s formal wear convention every year to buy the latest colors and styles. This year solid color vest is pretty hot and bow ties have made a strong come back. And if we don’t have a vest color you’re looking for we will try to buy it from our long list of Tuxedo and Vest manufactures. They carry everything from solid vest to pattern vest and in every wedding color you can imagine to match your groomsmen tuxedo.

To find out more about how to match the bridal colors, and to start finding the perfect look for your wedding, give us a call or come by one of our convenient Arizona locations today!

Blue Tuxedos and Gray Tuxedos

Blue Tuxedos and Gray Tuxedos Are Rocking the Event Circuit!

So you want to wear Navy Blue Tuxedos? Whether you are going to Prom. a wedding, a quinceanera or a fabulous New Years Party there are a number of styles and colors that are really standing out this year. Business Insider reported that over half of Hollywood’s hottest men sported a midnight blue tuxedo at The Golden Globes this year. Men seem to be leaning toward the trend of more color, but muted colors, such as grays and dark reds.

Black tuxedos have become passé and men are wanting to stand out in a canvas of black here, black there, black tuxedos everywhere. The navy blue tuxedo is a compelling choice in tuxedo color because it gives a gentleman a chance to be unique while still being suitable for any semi-formal or formal event requirements.

The Slate blue tuxedo was at its highest popularity in the 1930’s. It took a decline toward the 1940’s, however, in 2016 the navy blue tuxedo rebounded as a fashion choice in tuxedos. Among the most popular tuxedo trends is the navy blue ‘Hudson’ tuxedo that has a beautiful black satin lapel and black satin besom pockets. It has a slim fit design that is sleek and elegant.

You would think that the powder blue tuxedo would have seen its demise in the late 60’s and early 70’s with the awful ruffled shirts. Not so, say fashionistas. The powder blue tuxedo is coming back with a vengeance. When you take a slim fit powder blue tuxedo with a black lapel and pair it with black slacks, black bow tie, and black cummerbund you have a timeless look that is definitely unique and will make you fashionable. I personally went to Prom in 1982 and the hottest tuxedo color then was Navy Blue. My family back in Michigan who own President Tuxedo mailed me out to Phoenix AZ a Navy blue tuxedo to wear to my prom. My late Uncle was the best. I took it to have it pressed after I took it out of the box and I was a sharp looking prom goer. Navy Tuxedo

In a field of black, a gray tuxedo is definitely a hot tuxedo! A recent Tuxedo blog called gray tuxedos the “Icing on the Cake”. You want a look that is elegant and tasteful, yet catches the eye. Gray is just the trick. It is decadent without being ostentatious. There are so many great shades of gray, from a graphite gray to a light gray, a medium gray with a print and a steel gray, there are wide choices of gray in any hue to fit your skin tone. Maybe this is why Gray Tuxedos have made such a big hit the last year or so, can you believe it was brown Tuxedos before this? What tuxedo color will be the next more popular? navy blue tuxedos

For men with blonde hair and a light skin tone, a dark gray tuxedo is just the trick to making the skin tone and blonde hair pop. Dark gray has the versatility to go with any skin tone and men with brown hair and medium tones look sexy in a dark gray tux. For men with darker olive or brown skin tones and black hair, a light gray suit is so elegant and dashing. gray tuxedos

Whether you choose to go with a navy blue tuxedo or a gray tuxedo, your date will be so proud to be on the arm of a gentleman with such discerning taste. You and your date will sweep the room and be a cut above the rest. Not only will you stand above the crowd, but your date will as well. And for everyone else not interested in wearing a Navy Blue or Gray, I don’t blame you and you can never go wrong with a black classic tuxedo, even your pictures will never look dated. Call us now for you Blue tuxedos or Grey Tuxedos. Rose Tuxedo has them all Powder Blue tuxedos, Navy blue, Midnight blue tuxedo and Slate Blue tuxs. 602 957-0089
