Rose Tuxedo and the Fourth of July

Tags :

Fireworks_diego_bay_on_the_fourth_of_julyWhat do tuxedo rentals and the Fourth of July have in common?  Well, you may not realize this, but there are several ways in which the two are quite similar:

1,  The Fourth of July is a day to celebrate our freedom from British oppression and the birth of our new, separate, and democratic nation.  Freedom is something you will experience when you make Rose Tuxedo of Phoenix your go-to tux rental destination.  You’ll have an unbelievable number of choices to pick from.  Any style, any size, anytime, Rose Tuxedo will help you make a selection that is totally and completely “you”.

2.  Independence Day is when we, as a country, commemorate the time in history when a large number of people felt strong enough about making their own choices about how to live, how to worship, and how to make a living, that they stood up for these beliefs and surprised even themselves by doing so.  Rose Tuxedo is much like those patriots.  For years they have been standing up for what they believe makes a difference with customers.  Sure, the Big Box stores invest in plenty of advertising and even profess to have the best prices, but it’s just not true, folks.  A local store know its clients and knows the price range for rentals that their  customers can afford.  It makes sense then, that Rose Tux can come in way under a Men’s Wearhouse on any given day.

3.  The Fourth is a day to enjoy family and friends with  parties and fireworks and good, all-American fun.  The folks at Rose Tux are family-oriented, as well.  Started by the same family that owns it today, over 30 years ago, the company has built the store into a Phoenix “institution”.  The company is even named after the family’s mother, Roseanne.

4.  The Declaration of Independence cites three goals made clear by the patriots who fought to make life as good as it could be in their new country.  Those three goals are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  A home-grown company like Rose Tuxedo of Phoenix feels the same way.  When you need a suit, a tuxedo, formal wear, dress shoes, or wedding attire they want to make sure that you get exactly what you want.  They want you to feel comfortable and look your absolute best.  Great suit, fabulous fit, accessorized to a “T” ,that’s how the  Rose TuxRental company does it.

5.  The Fourth of July is not one of those holidays that travels around the calendar based on a seasonal formula or day of the week., like Easter and Thanksgiving.  No, the Fourth of July is always on the fourth of July, dependably, predictably, and consistently.  That’s Rose Tuxedo in a nutshell.

  • Dependable – Just their wedding business alone proves that you can depend on Rose.  When you have to have a tux ready for someone who lives out of town, that fits perfectly and looks impeccable, and the measurements the person sent in are completely incorrect, Rose has that tuxedo fitted and ready on the wedding day.
  • Predictable – No business that is sometimes pretty good; sometimes very bad; and sometimes completely clueless, is going to keep any customers, let alone be a successful endeavor.  Rose has customers who have been using them and them alone for years and years. They get terrific “word of mouth” from customers who have been blown away by their integrity and reliability.  There are no surprises with Rose, just excellent service, time and time again.
  • Consistent – If the folks at Rose say they are going to come in at a lower rental rates than the big boys, that’s what they are going to do.  If you want a size, or style, or duplicates of a much demanded or hard-to-find category of tuxedo, Rose will have it.  They have several warehouses and own all their own stock.  They are always going to have, or be able to get, what you need.

Yep. Rose Tuxedo of Phoenix is as dependable as the old Red, White and Blue.

Bridal Show in Phoenix, AZ

Since June is usually the unofficial end of the wedding season in the Phoenix metropolis, this is when summer begins in this area of the country, outdoor celebrations start to wane. Maybe that’s why there are three, that’s right, three bridal shows during the month of June .Maybe the wedding experts know that this is a good time to begin planning a beautiful, and cool, fall or winter wedding. You engaged ladies can look at these shows as a chance to get all your matrimonial eggs in one basket. If you bring a friend or two, or all your bridesmaids, you can count on having plenty of fun!  Here’s a tip from the wedding planners’ handbook.  Wear a one-piece bathing suit under your regular clothes to make trying on marked down wedding dresses much easier, and less revealing, if you know what we mean. (Here’s the secret, most all Wedding Businesses will honor their bridal show special even if you didn’t attend the show-shhhhhh! Just ask)

There will be nearly 4,000 square feet of showroom dedicated to wedding gowns.  Gowns will be selling for up to 50% , and brides can try on, purchase and take home right there on the spot.  And, get this…the first 400 brides who walk through the doors will receive free hors d’oeuvres and a rose.  And, as if that were not enough, there will be 150 vendors, fashion shows at 11:30 and 1:30, and an open bar which will be sure to keep all the 500 brides, bridesmaids, and 2,000 guests at the show entertained and happy.

Here are a few stats to keep for reference:

Tuxedo Styles for Wedding

Tuxedo Styles

tuxedo bride and groomHere’s the thing about tuxedos.  In this day and time, as we have told you before, the old rules do not necessarily apply.  You can accentuate your personal style in many ways.  Now, by that we do not mean being sloppy, figuratively or literally.  If you’re going to make it your own, do it with some style, some coolness factor, and some elegance.

So, you’ve gotten an invitation for a wedding in June.  This will probably not be the last invitation you get either.  You might be going as a guest; you might be a groomsman; or, hey, you may be the groom, but we’re probably not talking to you right now, because the bride has already told you what you will be wearing, and that really goes for the groomsmen, as well.

This is going to be the time when you can pull out all the stops and have fun while looking sharp as heck.  What you are going for is the most stylish, celebratory, and handsome version of yourself you can accomplish.  The least casual you can go is a suit (dressy or casual, depending on the venue), and otherwise a tuxedo.  All the clothes we are going to suggest will work, but be sure to look carefully at the “attire specifications” on the invitation.

One look that we think is really happening is the shawl collar tuxedo.  But, here’s the thing, you could style it like a suit.  We know, sounds radical, but if it fits perfectly, and you choose the right accessories, it could be right on.  Try a colorful bow tie, suede shoes, and for that Big Apple look, suede shoes with no socks.  We know, your mom just fainted.

One of the easiest ways to make your tux come alive is to leave the white shirt on the hanger and go for a brightly colored shirt.  Think powder blue, pink, gray, or tan.  And, yes, you can always know that polished, black lace-ups are a perfect match for a tuxedo.  But, who said everything had to be a perfect match?  The big city boys are wearing suede slipper loafers in different colors, and the look is hot.  Then you can pair them with your fancy jeans after the occasion.

Hold onto your hats, because this next suggestion is going to knock your socks off, if you are wearing any.   Charcoal gray and dark blue are good suit colors, but just the right plaid suit could also make a very good statement.  It’s young; it’s daring; it’s fun.  Pair it with a different patterned tie and pocket handkerchief!

More and more men are wearing khaki suits to weddings, and that’s a good choice.  You can be dressed up and cool as a cucumber, all at the same time.  Boat shoes, a pocket square and a patterned bow tie will pull it all together.

Guess what?  You do not have to go to one of those stuffy, corny big box stores, like Men’s Warehouse.  Rose Tuxedo in Phoenix can take care of all of this for you.  Their prices will always be below the big box’s price.  Call or come in, they are waiting to help you, and they know all about these cool new looks.

Summer Tuxedo: 4 Options by Rose Tuxedo

Tags :

Summer Tuxedo

You young ones probably don’t remember this tune, but Frank Sinatra (you probably don’t know him either) 🙂 sang it in 1955.  Look it up, it’s pretty corny. But we digress.  What we are really here to do is assist you in learning all you need to know about gettsummer tuxedoing ready for the upcoming nuptials (yours, or someone else’s). Here’s something else you might want to look up. Where did the word nuptials come from?  It’s from the Latin for marry. But, again, we digress.  Here’s what you need to know about nuptial ceremonial dress.

The picture to the left is a picture of the bride and her groom, who happens to be wearing a Rose Tuxedo summer tuxedo.  You might be wondering what it is that is different about a summer tuxedo? Obviously, Arizona summers tend to be, well, hot. Temperatures dictate which weight or appropriately colored tuxedo is a good choice, since both help alleviate a bit of the intensity of the high temperatures.  Here are four options, which Rose Tuxedo can supply, that are going to look good on you and feel good in warm temperatures.

image_18_large1.  If the wedding is going to take place in a church, temple, or cathedral, that means you are probably going to need the traditional get-up.  That would mean suit or tuxedo in black or midnight blue; a white dress shirt; a black bow tie; a cummerbund, and black dress shoes.  Interestingly, it is not so much the weight of the fabric in a tux that makes it cooler, it is the weave. Loosely woven fabric is cooler because it allows for air circulation. Summer tuxedos, in order to be cooler, need to be about an 8 oz. twill, or an 8 oz. tropical material.

Tux812.  Let’s say you are going to a cutting edge wedding at a lovely wedding hall.  The invitation might say “black tie optional”.  That usually means that the groom will be wearing black tie, but he expects you to at least wear a tux. A single-breasted  basic tux with a tie will just the ticket for a night like this.  This one is going to make you look a little Daniel Craig-ish, which the gals will love.

image_15_large3. If you’re going to an outside wedding, or a poolside wedding, or even (lucky you) a destination wedding, the invitation might say “semi-formal”.  This means you can wear a handsome suit, and in Arizona or Belize, it can be tan in color.  Add a silk tie, a pocket handkerchief, and boat shoes or sandals, and watch the girls stare.

Tux914. For a breezy summer night, a dark suit is a great way to go.  You can pair it with a solid tie, casual cufflinks, a white linen shirt, and brown or black Oxfords.  Nothing looks better than a well-fitted suit, and not much can make you feel as handsome as you will in this combination.

Understand that we have given you suggestions.  In these days of casual and individual dress codes, you can often make your attire fit your personality.  Just be sure that you like the way you look, because you are going to look good after you go to Rose Tuxedo Arizona.

Rose Tuxedo: Pretty Soon You’re Going to Need a Tuxedo

Rose Tuxedo: Pretty Soon You’re Going to Need a Tuxedo

Rose tuxedo Grey suit or tuxedoThis is one of those times of year that is going to be full of events that will require formal wear.  What with proms, weddings, graduation parties, now is the time for you to think about renting what you are going to need for these special occasions.  Lucky for you, if you live in the greater Phoenix area, you have access to one of the most experienced and reputable tuxedo rental businesses anywhere in the country.  That’s right, Phoenix’s very own formal wear experts, Rose Tuxedo.  Don’t even think of renting your tux anywhere else.  The reasons are:

  • Rose knows how to dress men from Arizona because we have been doing just that for over 25 years.
  • The big box stores like Men’s Wearhouse, Bridal Shops,  and Mobile Tuxedo Company, don’t get their tuxedos  in until late in the day on Thursdays and Fridays.  Thursday or Friday, depending on which weekend date the event is going to take place, is one day before the special event.  Local rental businesses, like Tuxedo Specialists, can get the tuxedos  ready early because we have our own stock. Do you want to wait one day before your wedding, prom, or party to try on your tuxedo?  The answer is “NO”.
  • You are going to get personal attention at Rose Tuxedo.  The fitting takes place right in the store.  Alterations are quick and easy.  This is another reason it is best to rent from a reputable local company like Rose Tuxedo.  Everyone makes mistakes, right?  If, after you get your measurements taken, you try on the tuxedo and it isn’t right, Rose can fix it in no time flat. Not so with the non-local stores.  Remember, our alterations are done on-sight, and we have the largest tuxedo inventory in the state. The men and women of Rose’s are going to assist you until you are satisfied with your garments.
  • Rose Tuxedo has a tremendous inventory of formal suits, tuxedos, vests, ties, bow ties, and shoes.  What you want to wear, you will find at Rose Tuxedo.  Think the color you want won’t be available?  Certainly not the case because Rose has any color, style, type, and size that you can come up with.
  • Did the bride, or your date, tell you what color pocket handkerchief, vest, or tie should be?  Have you never heard of such a color?  Not to worry, Rose Tuxedo has heard of it and can make sure you have it for the event.  We want to keep the ladies happy, right?
  • Also, another reason your lady will be glad you chose Rose Tuxedo is because we have our style choices on Pinterest.  Trust us, she will be tickled pink; or maybe lavender, dusty rose, or mauve.
  • Rose Tuxedo is affordable.  We have rentals for $40 less than the big box stores.
  • Ever heard of a Western tuxedo?  Look on Pinterest.  If you’re a western kind of dude, you will love this style of tuxedo, and Rose Tuxedo has them.

Call Rose Tuxedo, Phoenix, or browse around our website.  When you decide what you want, come on down to one of our three convenient locations and we will have you fixed up in a flash.
