Prom Suits 2017 the Experience

Prom Suits 2017 the Experience!!

Let me try and wake up some thoughts and ideas of every possible Prom goer and their parents, families and friends that do a lot of Prom supporting this time of year. We hear the old cliche’s all the time like “Video killed the radio star” “Yellow Pages are no more because of the internet” and so many more things that have changed over the years because of technologies and other events. Likewise for renting tuxedos on line, but think about this for a minute.

We still go to baseball games, basketball, football and hockey. Why? When we can watch the games on TV in the comfort of our own homes or at a bar or friends house. The refrigerator is 15 feet away, no crowds, tv replays, no parking issues or crowds. But guess what, we still go to the games for the EXPERIENCE.

Renting a tuxedo or suit should be looked at the same way as going to a game. You want to go in and touch it and feel it before you rent something that is suppose to make you look and feel good. Plus all the colors in the tux shop and all the great advice that a tuxedo specialist shares, you can’t beat this. Your mom might there helping you pick the right look and your date could be there saying that color will not match my dress. Good luck doing any of this ordering a tuxedo rental online and be prepared to pay way more for your tuxedo rental . Good luck getting it on time and most of all good luck having it fit right. At your local tuxedo specialist shop there should be someone there to help you make a great choice and a perfect fit and some really great price points. And change orders can happen while you wait but not when you get a box with a wrinkled tuxedo suit from the mail man or UPS.

Now you decided to rent a tux locally, good for you. But where do you begin. Do you Google Tuxedo shop near me or do you look up Tuxedo rental reviews on a site like Yelp or do you ask a friend. Navigating the business review world can be tricky because you know a lot of small businesses have asked friends and family to post a positive business review on a site for them. It’s the Tuxedo companies lively hood having customers come in and it’s how every small business pays it’s bills. Some companies don’t have time for that they are just trying to take care of the business they have and some are always trying to find more ways to bring in new business. Fake reviews are wrong! They ruin the internet for everyone, but your going somewhere to rent your Prom suit and your ready for the experience because ordering online is not your thing.

Most local tux shops are great most of the time and can be off their game slightly during the busy Prom and wedding season, so now it’s up to you to relax and enjoy the experience, yes, the experience. Your not ordering online and opening a tuxedo rental box in your living room by yourself, nope. Your standing in a room full of Prom Suits feeling the vibe and looking around and checking out others doing the same thing, awesome. Maybe you get lucky and find your unique look right away or maybe it takes you awhile but either way your feeling it and enjoying the moment because in life and it’s a once in a life time EXPERIENCE  and it’s all  yours and anyone that came with you. I’m jealous because I would love to do it all over again so please enjoy it for me.

At Rose Tuxedo I can tell you our reviews are real and were not perfect. We have 3 locations and the best Prom Suit rental prices and selection in Arizona. We love what we do and you will experience this when you come in. Thank you to all a head of time and have a great Prom. Be safe and love it all. www.rosetuxedo 85016, 85029 tux rentals or call us anytime 602 375-8280

Prom 2017

Looking at the calendar, or even just out of the window, it might seem far too early to think about the 2017 prom season. But Prom 2017 will be upon us before you know it, and now is the time to start thinking about all the things necessary to make yours a success. Speaking of thinking about proms, did you ever wonder how this event got its odd name?

History of Prom!

History of Prom!

The very first prom was held in the late 1800s when some adults decided that college students needed formal lessons in “social etiquette” (manners). They decided the best way to do this was to have a fancy-dress dinner and dance. The event kicked off with the students and their guests promenading (or marching) as a group into the hall where the event was being held, and the prom was born!

By the early 1900s, proms had migrated from colleges to high schools, where it remains an institution today. While proms were always about dressing to impress, they really were not like the proms of today. Early proms were more dinners than dances. There were plenty of adults around too, to make sure that the diners practiced proper table manners, as these proms were heavily chaperoned. While there was certainly dancing at these early proms, prom goers would not have come with a special date.

Proms really didn’t begin to look like the proms we know today until after World War II. By the early 1950s, high school students were given a great deal more say in the planning of the event. The prom dinner (and table manners) became less important, and the dance became the event’s focus. Promenading in as a group was long gone, but dressing nicely for this event remained very important. As you might imagine, there have been some changes in prom fashions over the years, especially in prom dresses.

Berkeley

Early prom dresses were long, and much less “blingy” than modern day ones, especially during the Great Depression. Dresses started becoming shorter and more frilly in the 1940s and especially the 1950s. Dresses became longer for the “hippie chic” look of the 1960s, and dresses again became shorter with brighter colors beginning in the 1970s.

What were the fellas wearing through all these prom years? They were probably wearing vests and dinner jackets at history’s first proms, moving into tuxedos by the 1930s. There’s no denying that whether it was Prom 1917 or Prom 2017, everyone knows the clothing star of the evening was and will be the prom dress. But that doesn’t mean that prom tuxedo wearers still can’t look great and be comfortable for the big night. Rose Tuxedo is your best choice for Phoenix tuxedo rentals in terms of both selection and price. Visit them at one of their three locations for assistance in continuing that proud tradition of the promenade. We have your Prom tuxedo rentals at the best prices and no rush fee if you decide to rent a tuxedo at the last minute. Last Chance for Prom Tuxedos

How much are they over charging?

Prom is going on all over the country! If your school hasn’t had Prom yet it’s time to get your tuxedo ready! Whether you have a date or not, renting your tux from the best shop in town will guarantee to get you noticed by some pretty young ladies. Go stag with your team of friends and have your pick of eligible ladies. Go with your date and make all of the other girls jealous of your suave and debonair look. Let’s talk about some tips for getting the right tuxedo for your Prom night. Ladies, you can consult our blog or magazines like Seventeen for more tips, and GQ is always a nice source.

  1. When in doubt, go classic. A basic tuxedo is timeless and will look amazing every time. Black jacket and slacks with a white shirt and a classic bowtie (or one to match your date) is a perfect choice every time.
  2. Bow ties are classic. You can wear a different type of tie for Prom, but ladies go nuts for the cute bowtie with your tux. You can spruce it up with some color or go basic, there’s no way to lose.
  3. Skinny ties are popular. If you don’t like bowties or want to stand out you can consider a skinny tie in a fun color or with a fun accent.
  4. Show your individuality. If you don’t like the foolproof method, you can throw in something to make yourself stand out. Add a different colored shirt, an accessory, a hat, or opt for a different colored tux altogether.
  5. Prom Bill Blass Grey Style 114

Vests make a statement. Not all prom goers opt for a vest or cummerbund, but it’s not a bad idea. Match the color with your dates dress so you can remove your tux jacket when it gets warm, or forget the jacket altogether.

  6. You don’t need dress shoes 100% of the time. Consult your date on this. You can throw on some classy and clean sneakers (or any other type of shoe) but make sure they’re clean and your date is aware (and ok with it). Dress shoes are a safe bet and you’ll look amazing, but do you.
  7. Have fun with the pictures. You don’t have to look solemn or boring for your pictures. Try a funny pose, bring out accessories (hats, sunglasses, etc) for a couple fun pictures.
  8. Choose a suit fit that fits your style. Not every man will want the classic tux, and some will look best in a slim version.

  9. Don’t be afraid of the “novelty” suit or tux, or a suit in general. While some may be hard to find, wearing a different colored or patterned tuxedo can make you stand out and make the evening a little more exciting. Also, sometimes a two-or-three piece suit will look totally appropriate.
  10. Always consult your date in regards to color and accessories. Prom is the closest thing to a wedding most of these girls will have for a while, so let them be a part of your tuxedo decision.

No Date? No Problem: Going Stag to Prom

Prom is coming up, so act fast to secure that date, tux, limo, dinner reservations, and more! But if you can’t find a date or simply just don’t want one you can still go to prom and have an amazing time—and look great at the same time.

So, if you’re going stag by choice or because you couldn’t find a date, here’s some ways to make it an amazing night, a Top 10, if you will.

  1. Love Yourself!: Just because you don’t have a date doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Appreciate yourself and how awesome you are and take some fun pictures solo or with your other stag-attendee-friends. Focus on who you are and who is really important to you and not some random chick you invited so you wouldn’t go alone.
  2. Still have a great time: People say Prom Night is a night you’ll remember for the rest of your life—especially Senior Prom! Take this as an opportunity to let loose before graduation and briefly forget that adults are expecting you to start getting your life together within a few years. Forget about college essays, the SAT, and the exit exam for a night!
  3. Less Stress: If you go stag you won’t have to worry about if your tie matches your dates dress, or buying a corsage, or making dinner plans!

  4. Do What You Want: Dance like a weirdo, get into a dance battle, make fun of people who look miserable with their dates their parents set up, and just have fun making this night something you will remember.
  5. At least you’re not at home!: Prom tickets can be pricey and the tux wasn’t free, but it’s a fun night out and you won’t have to deal with missing something amazingly hilarious or exciting that only you miss out on!
  6. Promposal? Nah: Don’t waste a ton of time or money trying to impress a girl to get her to go to prom with you. Spend that time with your bros or studying instead!
  7. You can still get a limo: Go with your buddies and rent a limo and go to your favorite pizza joint instead of some fancy restaurant. Or don‘t rent a limo. It’s up to you and your fellas.
  8. Group photos: Who needs girls to have an awesome photo? Strike some awesome poses with your best guy friends and show off your amazing tuxedos!
  9. Not having a date isn’t a disaster: So you didn’t get a date, no big deal! No one’s going to chastise you for going stag. Some guys might just get jealous that you’re having so much fun.
  10. Find a date when you get there: You don’t have to arrive with a date to have a dance partner or someone to go to the after party with. With a tux from Rose Tuxedo the girls will be lining up to dance with you. There will be girls who went solo or with friends who are looking for a great dance partner!
