Gilbert: We’ve got your back at Rose Tuxedos

Tags :

Is your big day coming soon? Your prom? The day your get married? Or maybe you’re the best man? Are you the father of the bride or groom? Perhaps you have a job interview coming up. Could be you have an audience with the Queen.  Whatever the reason, there is only one place to go to get yourself dressed up in a very fitting formal wear for the best impression of yourself.  That is Rose Tuxedo Rentals.  In fact, there are several locations surrounding the Phoenix area: Central Phoenix, Northwest Phoenix, and Mesa. So, dear people of Gilbert, AZ, you are never far away when you need assistance with your celebration attire.

Having the correct ensemble for a special occasion is not always as easy as it may seem.  First there is deciding on the style.  Yes, tuxedos come in several styles. A gentleman has more choices than just black in today’s formal wear colors.  There are blacks, dove grays, and white choices, for example.  And, the style of the suit can also vary.  Some tuxedos and formal suits can have vests in a large choice of colors and styles. Neckties can also be chosen in myriad colors, textures, and forms.

This is why Rose Tuxedo is such a sought-after location for men who need tuxedos.  This company has been in business for over 30 years, so they know everything there is to know about celebratory fashion. In our more casual culture of the 21st century, most men have not invested in a formal suit or a tuxedo .  Therefore, when a momentous event requires their attendance, they are not prepared to go to their closets and find the correct clothing.  Call Rose Tuxedo, they can help, and they are as close as cell phone.

What about shoes?  Again, many men, young men in particular, may not own their own formal shoes.  In a wedding it is likely that the bride will want to have all the groomsmen wearing the same type shoe.  This is not a problem for Rose Tuxedo.  They rent formal shoes.  Their inventory is extremely large, so it is easy for them to alter a suit on the spot, and find a shoe in almost any size that is ever needed.

If you are new to tuxedo renting, or if you have been around this block many times before, you will find the service at Rose Tuxedo far beyond your expectations.  The staff is well-versed in the business of dressing men for special events.  They want their customers to feel comfortable;  find exactly what they want;  and leave feeling like a million bucks.  Naturally, there are consultants for the bride, as well. When she is coordinating her wedding and deciding on colors, flowers, and ambience of her wedding, someone will be there to assist her.  The wedding consultants at Rose Tuxedo are experienced and gracious.  They will also attend to the details of a graduation party or a Quinceanera.

Isn’t it nice to know that in our somewhat chaotic world, there is a place where others care and genuinely want to help?  That place is Rose Tuxedo.  All you Gilbert folks need to remember to go to Rose Tuxedo if you have a celebration coming up.  Meet the staff, and see for yourself that, as far as Rose Tuxedo is concerned, the customer comes first.

Business reviews

Business reviews, Are they accurate?

When you are going to purchase from a company, what is the first thing that you do? The majority of people go to Review sites. You may wonder why I would write about this subject, as there cannot be anything negative about Review sites? I am here to tell you about the good and the bad. Rose Tuxedo in Phoenix has some very positive reviews, we do make mistakes because were not perfect but if you have an issue before or after your even you can bet we want to know and have a chance to make it right. It’s what we do. www.rosetuxedaz.com, check us out for your Fall Wedding Suits.

The good and the bad

The good and the bad

First of all, the obvious fact is that review sites are only useful if they are accurate. The truth is that a company may have all five stars reviews, but if you dig deeper, you may find that the reviews could have been left by family members, friends, or even left by people that have been paid to leave a good review! I’ve seen it happen for sure in the Tuxedo rental business with new Tux’s AZ companies opening or older ones, sadly it’s in every business field.

The question becomes how do you spot a fake review? There are signs to look for. Here are my top three:

1. A short review with little information. This can be a sign that the person who wrote it is hoping you will just look at the five stars and not the information. This could be a sign of a paid review. Lot’s of fake reviews will not show a picture of themselves either.

2. Has the reviewer written other reviews? Usually, you can check to see if they have. If this is the only review they have left, then it is a sign that it is not an accurate one.

3. If the person leaves many reviews in a short period, check to see what they write. Do they write the same review over and over again on different companies and products? If so, then they are most likely not genuine and may be getting paid. reviews

The question then becomes how do you know if a business is good if you cannot trust online reviews? Start by checking up on their past. You can look to see how long they have been in business. A business that has been around for many years would be an excellent sign that they treat customers well. Rose Tuxedo has 3 locations that have been around since 1980 in the same tuxedo locations near you, same family owners. Shop small and save big, were not the biggest we just try to be the best.

Check with the Better Business Bureau. They are a site that exists to help consumers work out problems. If a complaint is filed their company has an opportunity to work it out with the customer before it posts online. Therefore fake complaints would not show up.

I hope this information is helpful to tell you about the good and the bad. Happy shopping everyone, and remember that no paid reviews can outrun word of mouth shoppers, treat your customers fairly and the word will spread. Rose Tuxedo does not ask their customers for reviews because we feel it should be done on their on because they want to take the time out of their business life’s to write about a great Tuxedo rental experience. Check out our awesome reviews on money different sites and you will feel how legit they truly are. Rose Tuxedo in 85016, 85029 and Mesa AZ.

Interview with Rose Tuxedo

by Mark Wilcox

I talk with the fine folks at Rose Tuxedo.

How did you get started
My family came into this country from Italy, they landed in Windsor Canada and then made their way to Michigan. Naples Italy.
They opened up various businesses and one was a dry cleaners and that lead to also adding Tuxedo rentals.

My Uncle Mike the oldest brother ended up taking over the business from the family and siblings and opening up over 50 President Tuxedo in Michigan, Chicago and Ohio.

My father chased my mother to Phoenix AZ and got into the dry cleaning business as was and then became a developer but my mother loved the business

and took it over. Kids came along and we ended up with 4 locations and now only 3. We are family owned to this day and operated in the AZ area.

What are the trends you are seeing in wedding tuxes for 2016?
Trends for 2016 are similar to 2015, Grey tuxedos are hot and bow ties are deffinately back. Slim fit tuxedos and pants are very popular. Navy blue tux’s is on the rise.

What is something you wish men knew about renting a tux?
I wish Men knew that renting a tux can be easy and fun is you understand it’s a rental and not something you are purchasing.

Tuxedo shops do the best they can with every man’s size out there but when you own something the tailor will make it fit really nice, perfect.

Is there anything a man can do to have a better looking tux?
What man can do to make themselves look better in a tux is knowing your body shape and being comfortable with it and letting professionals help you, not everyone looks great in a slim fit tuxedo, some tux styles are more flattering on different people, 2 button coast vs one button, shawl lapel vs Notch ect.

What’s the funniest or craziest wedding story you have?
We’ve had some great stories over 30 plus years in business. So many come to mind right now. Mostly it’s when the groom told us to put boxers on everyones order along with the tux pants and the Groomsmen wore the boxers to the wedding. I was there and it was great.

If you can show your humorous side during what some say is a serious moment then you know the future will be find. Who says what is right or wrong when it comes to style and tradition?

They had coats on and black socks and tux shoes just no pants. If you can get married on a beach in flip flops for a destination wedding then you can let it all hang out in a church I guess, maybe not.

Survival Guide For Valentine’s Day!

Tags :

Alright, men! You still have nearly 3 weeks before Valentine’s Day! If you have a special someone who deserves to be swept off their feet, you’re in the right place for advice. Today, we’ll talk about how to make your lady swoon over you this February 14th.

Gifts:
Avoid gifts like appliances or anything “practical.” No vacuums, no blenders, no knife sets. Also avoid lingerie. While lingerie is heavily advertised this time of year, leave that to her. If she wants to wear something special for you, she’ll get it herself. Sizing is important and honestly, most men will mess it up. If you want to get her something she can wear, focus on something cute and comfortable instead of something sexy. Go for a silky robe or a pair of cute slippers. Jewelry and chocolate usually go over well, too, but don’t feel as if that is your only option. You don’t have to break the bank to make her feel special.

If she has to work part of the day, send a little gift to her place of work. Flowers, chocolate, a teddy bear, or a little note hinting at your plans for the evening will make her the talk of the office.

Flowers:
There is no rule that says you must give a woman a dozen red roses. You can stick to one rose and it just might mean more to her. Mix it up and get her favorite flowers instead of the cliché roses. Or, avoid flowers all together—flowers just die and that can be depressing a week later.

Cards and Letters:
Places like Hallmark have dozens (if not hundreds) of Valentine’s Day cards. Some of these are really cute, romantic, or funny but it would mean so much more if you make your special someone (even friends or family) a card by hand.

You can also write your lover a love letter (which can be in the aforementioned card) or a short love note. This doesn’t need to be three pages of mush, but remind her why you love her, the little things that make you smile, and tell her she’s beautiful. Be truthful and you can add a little humor in it, but keep it sincere and honest.

Activities:
First and foremost, do something she wants to do. Better yet, find something you both are interested in doing. This day doesn’t have to be 100% about her. Go see a movie, rewatch your favorite movie as a couple, or go back to the restaurant where you had a special date. If there’s a museum or an event she’s interested in it could be nice to show an interest in what she wants to do (and it’ll score you brownie points).

If you don’t want to go out of the house you could always cook for her. Even if you’re not good at cooking she’ll appreciate the effort.

Turn off phones and computers. Checking your phone in the bathroom or periodically to check in with friends or family (especially if you have big plans they’re involved with) isn’t a big deal, but put away the phone at dinner or while watching a movie at home. There’s no need to check Facebook or message your bros when you’re having a special night with your lady.

IMG_1083Clothing:
When in doubt, put on a nice suit. At Rose Tuxedo we can help you pick out a suit rental (or purchase) that will make you look like the man of her dreams. Choose from a variety of colors and styles. Choose a red tie, pocket square, or shirt for a pop of color and a nice festive feel.

Never underestimate the power of a good suit.

Pilgrims Vs. Today: What Is Worn to Thanksgiving?

Tags :

We all know the stories about the First Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims and we all recognize the attire worn by those early settlers like the Pilgrims. Today we’ll look at just how far fashion has come and be thankful no one (hopefully) shows up to Thanksgiving dinner dressed like this guy (see Left).

To start with, a Pilgrim man often wore a felt hat (with a buckle in some interpretations). The next easily noticeable accoutrement is the Ruff. It looks much like the variations of ruffles and large white collars worn throughout history, mostly in paintings of royalty. This would get covered I gravy so fast, it wouldn’t be funny (ok, it would be) if worn today.

Slightly less awkward and odd is the doublet with cuffs. This is a fairly typical jacket of the time (also for quite some time before and after the Pilgrims) and it could be compared to a waistcoat or suit jacket. Some pilgrims also wore a vest and a long sleeved shirt if not the doublet.

Further down the body we find the Breeches, garters, stocking, and shoes. These breeches look silly by today’s standards but they obviously looked good to the Pilgrim women. While there are few comparisons between this style of pants and today’s modern suit pants, at least the color of the pants and jackets matched (with the shoes, too!), making the men look well put together. Today, men wear solid color jackets, shoes, and pants to the actual ankle, leaving the stockings to the women.

While the history of the suit ad tuxedo is long and convoluted, we can still see some similarities to the traditional pilgrim garb. Wearing a suit to Thanksgiving dinner will make you look and feel good, but it can also be a history lesson. Impress the friends and family (and in-laws) by comparing your suit pieces to the good ol’ fashioned Pilgrim attire.

If you don’t want to go the suit route (because gravy on your best suit, tie, or shirt is a definite no-go) then consider dressing closer to a traditional Native American the Pilgrims may have contacted (see Right). Replace the deerskin mantle with a suede shirt or jacket and the deerskin leggings with jeans or corduroy, and tie a piece of twine around your leg for the legging tie. You can also pick up a pair of moccasins at any number of shoe stores, as with a shell or leather necklace. Don’t forget a nice turkey feather accessory to keep it extra festive! If you must have some sort of fur robe for maximum authenticity, shop around for just any faux fur scraps. As for the knife, make it functional and bring your own turkey carving knife—festive and functional!

No matter what you choose, keep Rose Tuxedo in mind for all of your holiday attire needs. There isn’t a man alive who doesn’t look better in a high quality, well-fitting suit.
