Dressing up young Gentlemen in Tuxedos and Suits

Tags :

Most little boys don’t like wearing a suit or a tuxedo . Maybe it’s because they feel it’s bulky for their little frame and restless attitude. Even when they get older, it’s also kind of difficult to convince them to dress up in a suit or tux. They always prefer to go about in their jeans and t-shirt.

Every guy is different and so you will need to device different methods to make the dress up in a suit or tux. On ocassions such as weddings, funerals, proms or any other formal event, it’s important for a young man to appear sharp in a tuxedo

Today we’ll talk about how to know when it’s time for a new suit for your young man and how to avoid awkward stages and unpleasant surprises when it comes to sizing.
The proper fit:
Check out Esquire’s article on how to tell if a suit fits. If the suit is too tight or short in spots it may be time for a new one, but if it’s too long or loose in spots a trip to the tailor may solve your problems.

Tailoring: If your young man is rapidly growing and you have several events for that year (or couple of years) at which he needs to dress up, talk to a tailor about leaving excess fabric to allow for letting clothing out. This could save money on slacks and jacket sleeves more so than shirts (you may want a different shirt for different events anyway). This is also great if you have multiple boys or access to a nice hand-me-down suit.

Rentals: Renting a suit or tuxedo is fantastic if you need something extra fancy for a wedding or Prom or if your man is in the middle of a growth spurt and you don’t foresee purchasing a suit as a viable financial decision. Rentals are always a great decision, regardless of age or size of the man, but especially for those rare occasions your guy needs to look the best he can. Renting suits can also be a great way to find your style and learn your measurements.

Budgets: If you’ve purchased some all-purpose slacks and a button-down shirt that suffices for work, job interviews, dances, weddings (as a guest) and other events where “dressing up” is required then maybe the rare tuxedo rental will save money in the long run—especially if your sizing will change by the next time you need a tuxedo or suit.

Time: It you’re an adult and can still fit in the suit in your closest but you haven’t worn it in a decade, it may be time to retire that one and check out the newer styles, fabrics, and colors.

Comfort: If the man in your life doesn’t like suits or tuxedos then maybe letting him walk into Rose Tuxedo and getting his measurements and checking out different styles until he finds something he likes. Let him explore with the help of professionals instead of his mom, grandma, wife, or girlfriend. Just like you don’t want him in the dressing room when you’re picking out a nice dress or a bathing suit there’s a good chance he feels the same way about something that might make him uncomfortable.

No matter what you do or when your man needs new formal attire, be supportive and don’t get pushy or angry. Bring him to Rose Tuxedo and we’ll fulfil all his rental and purchasing needs for suits, tuxes, and more.

Get Quinceañera Tuxedos at Rose Tuxedo

Tags :

Quinceañera celebration marks the day a girl turns 15. On this day, the world stops for her. All eyes are on her and she is the princess of that day. Also called fiesta de quince años, fiesta de quinceañera, quince años or simply quince, this is the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday in parts of Arizona communities of people from Latin America. This birthday is celebrated differently from any other birthday, as it marks the transition from childhood to young womanhood.

Quinceañera Tuxedos

To a Quinceañera you don’t dress the same as you would to any other birthday party.  Girls typically wear colored dresses and the guy’s sport tuxedos with matching vest and tie.  Of course the father of the birthday girl usually wears a tuxedo and vest that matches the young woman’s Mothers gown. Pedrino’s, or an influential uncle, Grandfather or other man in the young woman’s life, typically dress in tuxedos as well.
Because so many men wear tuxedos to a Quinceañera and come from neighboring Phoenix cities like Glendale, Peoria, Avondale, Surprise and Tolleson, it’s easier to use a Formalwear Specialist with multiple locations to serve all the men and boys formal needs. (By the way, if you rent 15 or more tuxedos from us we will provide 3 rentals free.)

Need to schedule a consultation?  Stop by or call us and we’ll be sure to match you with the best tuxedo for an upcoming Quinceañera celebration.  Check out Arizona’s largest selection of Quinceañera Tuxedos and suits for rent. We specialize in only Tuxedo’s and Suits for all rental occasions, we carry every size tuxedo and suit for men and boys and you will never leave our shops unless you look and feel great. Our Tuxedo wear house is location in Central Phoenix and our inventory is huge. We buy the newest styles and color tuxedos and suits every year and we sell our used tuxedos to waiters and limo drivers and musicians and Dj’s and more.

Winter Weddings 2015: Perks

Tags :

wedding couples planningAt Rose Tuxedo we love helping our clients have the wedding of their dreams. This is why we offer the best prices, the biggest selection of colors, cuts, and styles, and why we offer online shopping as well as in-store services. Today we’d like to point out some reasons having a winter wedding is a great!

  1. Cooler temperatures: In Arizona, we don’t have incredibly cold winters like some other states. Temperatures drop (especially at night) but with our low precipitation rates, you almost never see snow outside of the mountains and we don’t have much rain! This allows for greater variety of venues for our Arizona residents (as compared to our friends and family in colder states in the Winter). This also means your guests won’t be sweating in an outdoor venue in a three piece suit. You have so many options for comfort and warmth without having to consider sweating or heavy coats.
  2. Venue options: A lot of people, even in this area, would rather have their weddings during the Spring and Summer (and sometimes Autumn), so you may have a greater selection of great venues for your celebration than you would during the warmer seasons. This leads to lower prices, better deals, and more options for dates and times!
  3. Beautiful!!

    Beautiful!!

Christmas Time: This can be a blessing or a curse. Some family members may be saving up their vacation time for Christmas travel, but you may also be able to get more people to come if you have your wedding close to the peak travel times. Sure, travel costs may be higher, but if people are already taking time off to travel, you may be able to convince a couple more friends and family members to see you on your special day. This is also a great time to have a wedding if you have children or college students you wish to have in attendance. They’ll already have at least a week (or much longer) off during December, so there will be no excuse for them not to come!

  4. White Winter Wonderland: The dress is white, so why not add some classy white Christmas lights (which are sold in abundance this time of year, so stock up!) and add some beautiful snowflake designs into the décor. Your wedding decorations can then double as Christmas decorations when you’re done.

Rose Tuxedo would like to help you celebrate your wedding by providing the best suits and tuxedos available. We have a great variety of cuts, colors, sizes, and styles, including three piece suits and tuxedos with cummerbunds or other accessories!

Stop by today for a fitting or use our online form to order your suit or tuxedo today!

Slim fit is not for everybody, different shapes don't look great

Slim fit is not for everybody, different shapes don’t look great

We know that all men look amazing in suits and tuxedos, but if you choose the wrong color, size, shape, or accessories it can throw the whole outfit off! We’re here to help you with that. You can come to our store and talk to our wonderfully skilled associates who will ensure you have the perfect fit every time, but it may help you out to know a little bit about what you’re looking for so you don’t have to try on 50 different things before finding the one you want. Tuxedos come in different styles with different pieces, so we’ll go over those pieces and attributes today and best tuxedo rental in Phoenix for you!

  1. Rent or Buy? Most of our tuxedo clients are renting them for a wedding or other one-time event, but depending on your formal wear needs, you may want to consider buying a tuxedo.
  2. Keep is Classy: While it’s perfectly fine to play around with small details, it’s usually wise to stick to the classics when choosing a tuxedo. This usually means sticking to traditional colors. (Note: Prom is a whole different story! It’s so fun to go nuts and go for fun colors for Prom to match your date. Formal events for post-high school crowds usually call for more basic colors and styles). Bonus: Consider a midnight blue tuxedo if you want to turn some heads. It’s still classy enough for almost all events, but you’ll stand out subtly.
  3. Fit: Some tuxedos are meant to hug your body a little closer than others. Some are going to be a little stiffer, but making sure the length is perfect is important for any good tuxedo.
  4. Style: There are three main types of tuxedos. Classic, Modern, and Slim. Refer to the image below to get an idea. You can never go wrong with a classic tuxedo, but a modern tux may be a good call for a trim look without deviating from the classic look too much. A slim suit is great to keep you looking trim and show off your shape.

  5. Bow tie: Nearly every tuxedo calls for a bow tie! Sometimes a long tie is a good call, but the classic look begs for this classy bow tie style. Within the bow tie realm, however, there are multiple styles! Slim, large, straight, butterfly, etc. Try a few different styles to see what size works best for you.
  6. Cummerbund?: Not every tuxedo requires a cummerbund. These are often reserved for weddings and proms. Today they’re sleeker and less noticeable than the last time they were in style, but they can still be a great option for any tux! If you want to give the illusion of more length, this could be a great option. If you’re already very tall and thin, you may want to reconsider.
  7. Suspenders?: This accessory has come back in a big way, for both suits and tuxedos! Most tuxedos give you the option to wear them or not—so you can change your mind at the last minute! If you plan on taking off the jacket or unbuttoning it, suspenders can be a nice touch (instead of a cummerbund).
  8. Buttons: A lot of tuxedo buttons come, by default, as horn buttons. You can get covers, or opt for the best tuxedo rental for you with different buttons.

School Dances

Proms, Weddings our customers shine for less.

We’ve been talking a lot about weddings and men’s fashion lately, so today we’re talking to you Middle School and High School kids! School has been back in session for a few weeks, so it’s time to start thinking about some of the major school dances! Start finding your dates for prom, get ready for Home Coming, Sadie Hawkins, and the Winter Formal! Here are some reasons why you should consider a suit or tux for your school dances– regardless of the implied or stated dress code.

  1. Sadie Hawkins: Once you have caught the attention of a lady suitor, it’s time to think about your outfit! You can go with a well fitted suit (a tuxedo might be a bit much) or you can try something a little different. Consider the various ways you can mix and match a 3-piece suit! Play with shirt and tie colors or try a suit vest instead of a jacket. You can even mix it up further and try a suit jacket, slacks, and a classy graphic tee! Dress it up or dress it down to impress your date.
  2. Home Coming: Any time there’s a home coming dance, it’s a big deal. Represent your school with a jacket, tie, or shirt in your school colors. Rose Tuxedo has a huge selection of colors and styles for you to choose from.
  3. Winter Formal: Sometimes called Snow Balls, or any other number of names, this dance will come up before you realize it (and then it will be Summer before you know it!). Start planning now to get the best deals on limos, suits or tuxes, and dresses. Try out some patterned ties or go with a classic black-and-white ensemble. Match a pocket square or tie to your dates dress, or go stag with some friends and find a theme! Besides Prom, this is one of the biggest dances of the year– especially for those who are not eligible to go to Prom (sorry, Freshmen!).
  4. IMG_20150413_075553College: While most colleges don’t have traditional “dances” like high school, there are formal gatherings, especially for sororities and fraternities. Look your best and impress the ladies with a crisp suit for these events.
  5. PROM: Prom 2016 will be here before you know it. Some girls are already planning their outfit like it’s their wedding day! If you already know who your date will be, respect her choices and be just as excited if possible!

Did we miss something? Have some questions about men’s fashion, dances, party planning, formal wear, etc? Let us know and we may cover it here. We love providing fantastic formal wear to all of our clients. Arizona, we’ve got your back, and your front. And everything in between. We’ll have you looking amazing for all of your formal and semi-formal events.
