A 2016 InsuranceQuotes.com survey says that 1 in 10 Americans has come home only to see their package has been stolen. Cyber Monday is becoming just as popular as Black Friday. In fact, even on Black Friday, a lot of people are using their laptops to shop online for things. Gone are the days where people would line up for hours in the cold for things or deal with the massive crowds. Consumers today love shopping from the comforts of their own home. Of course, this means that they are at risk for package theft.
If a package goes missing, you may not even get it back, which is the worst part. Sometimes, a business will not refund or replace the item because they view it as your fault. This can cost a lot of money and be traumatic if the item in question was for a wedding, prom or some other time sensitive event. People are faced with the battle between convenience and the risk of package theft. It can be a hard decision.
